Southern Pacific Leases

Austin, Tex., Jan. 25--It has been learned here today that the Southern Pacific Company, which owns about 60,000 acres of land situated in and near the new oil field in East Texas, have entered into an arrangement with representatives of the Standard Oil Company for the lease of this land. The latter company will put down a number of prospect wells on the land.
